Our PCS

Me
Another PCS (oh how the Army loves acronyms - Permanent Change of Station) has come and gone. As an Army wife I truly felt frazzled this time hence the picture. Our little family of five decided that Mr. Wright should finish school and stay behind in the Peach State while the rest plus one cat went forward to the Grand Canyon State. I am not sure that was such a wise choice as I look back at things. I think things were smoother coming and going from an overseas tour. Anyways hindsight is 20/20 and we or I have learned a great deal.

Our Moving Van!
We left four days after the moving truck left our home. The moving truck also beat us to our destination, but no matter as we had to wait for housing, so it all went into strorage for a few weeks. Better then the 2 month wait for moving from an overseas location. Everything was packed well. Nothing broke along the way except for our patio table glass. All in all it was one of our better moves.

My parents were able to join us in our expedition across 7 states in four and a half days to our destination. Which was a life saver. Number one reason was two very car sick boys. Number two it was nice to have the company along the way.

It felt so good to see the Arizona State line!
Our new place to live... for a couple years.
We passed through 7 states, stayed in 7 hotels for 3 weeks until we finally made it into our new home in the Grand Canyon State. Fort Huachuca to be exact. This base is home to the Army's Military Intelligence branch. It will be fun once Mr. Wright joins us and starts his new job.

Our New Home!
It is so good to be in our new home and not the hotels, but we really really miss Mr. Wright! It gets lonely and hard without him. There is one more month until graduation.  While in that month school starts for the older two. That will make time fly by... I hope!

But for right now I feel like this...
Me... again!

Time to Say Goodbye!

It has been awhile since I last posted. Life has gotten busy and Pinterest might have gotten in the way a little. A lot has happened.

Ben was baptized! That was a WOW! moment for me as I realized that my kids just keep growing.

Cameron was able to Baptize Ben in July
I was able to be sealed to my parents in the Columbia, SC temple. That was a neat experience. I am blessed to have the gospel in my life and I see it everyday with all the blessings that have touched me and my family.

Cameron took command of a company here at Fort Stewart for a short time. Politics got in the way of being any longer which is a long story and a bad 4 months.

We added a new member of the feline kind to our little family of five! Dutch graced us with his presence on Christmas Day! We call him our Dog Cat. He likes to be around people and to have his tummy petted. He is a funny kitty!

Our Dutch
We went to Walt Disney World in Orlando with a good deal for Soldiers returning from war. We had a blast and wished we could have stayed a little longer. Before we left Orlando, Cameron and I were able to do family work at the Orlando Temple. Beautiful Memories.

Our Family are great fans of  Phineas and Ferb
Cameron PCS'd (moved) to Augusta in January to change his MOS (what he does in the Army). He is attending school at Fort Gordon. We miss him during the week but he comes to visit on the weekends.

Ammon turned three! Again I start to realize that my babies keep on growing.

Ammon turning the BIG 3!
Ben finished grade 3 with a big simle on his face because he knows school is out for a bit! Emily finished grade 1 with a tear on her face because she will miss her teacher and all her friends she has made in the last two years.

Benjamin before his Piano Recital

Emily finishing another year with Taekwondo.
She has earned her Yellow (second) belt and is on her way to a Green belt.
She also has two belts in Jujitsu
As for me I am cleaning house as we are PCSing (moving) to Southern Arizona ahead of Cameron. We were unfortunately unable to sell our house due to the market still going down but we have a great agency who found some renters for us. We have two weeks left in our home and I am trying to clean around three children and hope they don't touch the walls. We leave with my Mom and Dad for the long drive to Fort Huachuca, AZ. Should be an interesting trip and three weeks in a hotel with three kids and a cat in tow!

It will be sad to leave our first home that we bought. It has been a wonderful investment and we hope to sell in a couple of years. Being close the beach has been wonderful and we will miss it greatly. Our family has made so many wonderful friends that will be a lasting touch on our hearts. The Ward in Savannah has been great and we will miss everyone.

Our dear home will be missed, but on to yet another adventure!
But with sad hearts it is "Time to Say Goodbye" and with smiles we continue on to our next adventure!

With all three children and no Cameron we waited in line at a small Apple retailer and just a few doors down where the people were waiting for 8+ hours at Best Buy. HOMECOMING!!!

It happened on one great PERFECT day! Exactly 365 days from the tearfilled day we said goodbye at the airport!

We made sure that the house was spotless and welcomeing for a GREAT Soldier, Father and Husband!

The kids had NO idea that Dad was coming home. They went to school and I was able to pick Cameron up in the morning! So EXCITING but very nervous as I waited through the HOMECOMING Ceremony for the moment we would be together again!
My Friend Lorrie Lewis, who saved me from the insanity of  being a FRG Leader for the Company! (Lorrie, Ammon, Miranda)
Advon Soldiers of the 87th CSSB HHC!
Cameron is somewhere in the middle... they all look alike when they are in uniform!
This moment seemed to last forever! Ammon wasn't totally sure what what going on!
It seemed that Cameron's "Operation Flower Countdown" was NOT finished! After we had arrived home he had told me he had ONE last thing....

I love that Man of Mine!
Towards the afternoon Cameron, Ammon and I headed to get Ben and Emily from school. We were able to SURPRISE them with Dad! I hadn't cried that whole day until I saw their tears of joy from seeing their Dad for the first time since R&R over 7 months ago! There are no words to describe that moment and unfortunatly I was caught up in the moment too much to get pictures! But it was a joyous moment for the WRIGHT FIVE!

Operation Flower Countdown!

Cameron seems to be full of surprises! Seven days before he was expected to arrive from a year long deployment I received a bouquet of flowers. They were unexpected and well appreciated as I had previously stated in one of the last post.

...Seven ...

Then there was another knock at my door with another bouquet of flowers on which I thought there was some mistake, but with a look at the bank account and a quick call to the florist found it was the inner workings of my crazy husband!

...Six ...

...and with yet another knock on the door and a smiling florist...

...Five ...

...Four ...

...Three ...

By this point it seemed that the flourists that were delivering the flowers were more excited then I was.

...Two ...

...One ...

So utterly romantic eh? After the anger from the expense of this operation had disabpated I thought it was a wonderful surprise. It gave me something to think about rather then the thought of the moment we would meet again!
