In MARCH we...

... stood an hour in line to purchase the NEW thinner, lighter and faster iPad 2!!! With all three children and no Cameron we waited in line at a small Apple retailer and just a few doors down where the people were waiting for 8+ hours at Best Buy. We laughed at the 150+ people in line! I was 4th in line!

HOMECOMING!!!

It happened on one great PERFECT day! Exactly 365 days from the tearfilled day we said goodbye at the airport!

We made sure that the house was spotless and welcomeing for a GREAT Soldier, Father and Husband!

The kids had NO idea that Dad was coming home. They went to school and I was able to pick Cameron up in the morning! So EXCITING but very nervous as I waited through the HOMECOMING Ceremony for the moment we would be together again!

This moment seemed to last forever! Ammon wasn't totally sure what what going on! 

It seemed that Cameron's "Operation Flower Countdown" was NOT finished! After we had arrived home he had told me he had ONE last thing.... 

I love that Man of Mine!

Towards the afternoon Cameron, Ammon and I headed to get Ben and Emily from school. We were able to SURPRISE them with Dad! I hadn't cried that whole day until I saw their tears of joy from seeing their Dad for the first time since R&R over 7 months ago! There are no words to describe that moment and unfortunatly I was caught up in the moment too much to get pictures! But it was a joyous moment for the WRIGHT FIVE! 

Operation Flower Countdown!

Cameron seems to be full of surprises! Seven days before he was expected to arrive from a year long deployment I received a bouquet of flowers. They were unexpected and well appreciated as I had previously stated in one of the last post.

...Seven ...

Then there was another knock at my door with another bouquet of flowers on which I thought there was some mistake, but with a look at the bank account and a quick call to the florist found it was the inner workings of my crazy husband!

...and with yet another knock on the door and a smiling florist...

...Five ... 

...Four ...

 

...Three ...

By this point it seemed that the flourists that were delivering the flowers were more excited then I was.

So utterly romantic eh? After the anger from the expense of this operation had disabpated I thought it was a wonderful surprise. It gave me something to think about rather then the thought of the moment we would meet again! 

Catching Up to that Katchup!

It seems I have been slacking a little when it comes to my blog for the last.... hmmm.... FOUR months. It has been nice to be a complete family again living under the SAME roof. I have to admit there probably were a few minutes here and there where I could have made a post or two, but opted for relaxing with my LOVE on the couch watching a movie.. or GLEE! I know unforgivable right? Well I am HERE NOW and will catch you all up with what we have been up to for the last FOUR months in the next few days of POSTS! Are you all excited or what!

The Last Few Days with Some Flowers!

Life has been getting a little crazy lately with all the little things that are getting in my way of accomplishing my tasks! Yesterday it was the car. I had the grand pleasure of watching my car being towed for the second time in the last year! There were no pictures unfortunately as this was the ONE morning that I thought I didn't NEED my cell phone! The best part that it was all because of a little piece of asphalt caught in the brakes! CRAZY!! There were so many other things that I would have liked to accomplish instead. Then the panic with the Alligator today! But the day ended with a wonderful surprise from the LOVE of my life. A wonderful bouquet arrived late tonight! It was a wonderful finish the events over the last couple of days! It will be wonderful to be in the arms of my LOVE soon!

My Neighbour the Alligator!

So it seems that out little neighbour in our pond next to us never left us and with the warm weather (70 degrees) it was a perfect day for him to soak in some rays on the edge of the bank! A little unnerving that he was so close. I phoned the Alligator Trapper, but he was unable to make it out, so they will get a call in the morning. He needs a different home. This Canadian cannot live with any alligators!!!

Three Kids and a Box

There are many things three kids and a box can do and I caught one on Camera! It is interesting with what they came up with to do with the box! Just glad all three were playing nice!

Sidewalk Chalk and a Sunny Day!

There was one day this week that we got to see the SUN! It was nice to see and we couldn't beat the 73 degrees F! It was WONDERFUL! So I took out the sidewalk CHALK and let the kids loose on the driveway. They had a BLAST. All three of them worked together and drew some outlines of BODIES and lots of ROADS. It was great to see!

February!

February has to be my FAVORITE month! It is the month that I married my BEST FRIEND, the one I live for and laugh with and LOVE! It is a GREAT month filled with RED and chocolate. With all the LOVE that is spread though out this month I get one extra gift and to see my LOVE again would be greater then anything imaginable!

I went to check on Ammon to see if he was still sleeping. My silly little monkey! At least he was sleeping!

Ben and Emily were walking to a friends home to see if she could play. When I looked back I saw them walking together holding hands! The power of Brother and Sister! I missed that candid shot of them, but was able to get them to stand to take another picture. The best part is you cannot see Ben's grumpy face as he didn't want to be caught in the act of Brotherly Love!

Saturday we went to our local AQUARIUM and got our family a 10 GAL Fish Tank and four beautiful FISH! Although there are now only THREE. One didn't make it the first night. I was a little worried checking the tank this morning, but HAPPY to find three little fishes swimming happily along!

Ben, Emily and Ammon are more the ecstatic to have them as their pet. They tell everyone that they meet about their pet fishes! I was excited as well when we brought them home. So let us hope that they will stay alive for a couple of years... Crossing my fingers!

Yumm! on a Friday Night!

Mmmm... We indulged ourselves for a great MOVIE night with Domino's PIZZA and for dessert we decorated SUGAR COOKIES and watched "Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore"! We had a BLAST, but there were some TUMMY aches associated with the FUN! Nonetheless it was fun and it might be a do-it-AGAIN kind of thing!

Ammon just wanted to EAT the icing and Ben and Emi decorated a cookie and ATE it! 

These are my creations that were watched over with the idea of DESTRUCTION by the Ammon Monster! (insert evil laugh) 

Red Bird at Our Window!

So it seems that we have another FRIEND in our little neighbourhood...

He has been CRASHING into our window since the week before CHRISTMAS. I am not sure as to WHY he insists to crash into our WINDOW many times a day. At first I thought he might want to eat the Christmas Tree. So the kids and I went to Home Depot and got a BIRD FEEDER which Grandpa kindly hung for us while he and Nana were visiting. Thank You Grandpa! But that little red bird which we found is a CARDINAL still insists to crash into the window even after we took the Christmas Tree DOWN. I will gladly have him crash into our window ANYTIME as he is friendlier then the ALLIGATOR that currently lives next door!

New Beginnings!

2011 ...

This year will bring LOTS of great memories! Starting with the return of a loving Father, devoted Husband and brave Soldier! We get to welcome home Cameron in the spring from a year long tour in Afghanistan. He is among the GREAT and BRAVE people whom has chosen to serve their country. I am proud of him! It has been a long road without him at home. We have been through car breakdowns, a 911 call, sickness and so much more in the last year. There is always an ADVENTURE with each day that passes. It will be wonderful to have him home again and get to know each other once more and to spend new adventures as a FAMILY!

I have always liked the beginning of a NEW YEAR. It is a fresh start... a NEW beginning that can bring so much more then the previous year. Time to set GOALS and see them through. A time to be a better person. I am excited to see through the goals that I have set... to have fun and learn and grow from them!

One of the things that I want to do this year is to try and REDECORATE the house. For me it seems like a DAUNTING task. I am not the creative one when it comes to decorating my HOME. But the last couple of days I have been studying other designer blogs and I think I am prepared to go out and find some TRENDY items! Another GREAT adventure with pictures to follow!

Our little FAMILY will have GREAT fun as we traverse the next twelve months ahead! One GREAT adventure after another!
